I’m going to get off Sam Harris any day now. Promise. But I thought I’d mention that in the current issue of Free Inquiry Harris takes a decent swipe at an oft-asserted calumny against secularism–i.e., that it provides no foundation for morality. That same issue of Free Inquiry, by the way, also deals with the Muslim-cartoon controversy (see articles here, here, here, and, what the hell, my earlier post on the subject here). The print edition of FI apparently includes the cartoons themselves, which is why Borders and Waldenbooks have elected not to carry it.
